It has been announced officially today Josh Klinghoffer is the new replacement for John Frusciante in Red Hot Chili Peppers

30 year old Klinghoffer is a multi instrumentalist that has been a member of bands including Ataxia, that also included Frusciante as well as a session musician for acts such as Beck, Butthole Surfers, PJ Harvey, Gnarls Barkley and the Chili Peppers.

With the Chili Peppers new record in the works for the past 8 months, Klinghoffer will be a needed addition as the band are rumored to begin touring in mid 2010 following the release of their new record.

There first show with Josh will be on January 29, 2010 when they pay tribute to Neil Young at MusiCares.
