Glass Animals have announced their debut Australian Tour.

Heading Down Under for the first time ever for three East Coast dates this April, the Oxford four-piece will give audiences their first live taste of their indie-titled pop, that takes in dabbles of psychedelia and trip hop.

Glass Animals have the distinction of being the first band signed to Wolf Tone, the new label started by producer Paul Epworth, who is best known for producing and co-writing Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’, in addition to working with artists like Foster The People, Florence & The Machine, and Bloc Party.

The band – Drew MacFarlane, Edmund Irwin-Singer, Joe Seaward, and fronted by vocalist David Bayley – have already gained significant buzz in their native UK, including scoring The Guardian‘s New Band of the Day, of the strength of their hypnotically rhythmic debut single ‘Psylla’ (now added to Triple J’s playlist).

Billed as ‘the next Alt-J’ while definitely appealing to bands like Wild Beasts, or a more downtempo Animal Collective, Glass Animals currently have just a handful of songs to their name, including the synthy, dreamy ‘Black Mambo’, ‘Exxus’ and the appropriately titled ‘Woozy’ (featuring rising MC Jean Deaux), but have already struck a chord with tastemakers with their distinctive sonic approach.

Presented by Chugg Entertainment, don’t miss your chance to jump on the Glass Animals bandwagon for their first ever Australian tour. Tickets on sale now.
