Melbourne avant-pop 5-piece Dear Plastic have released the video for their single ‘Buck Up And Pay the Reaper’, one of the most impressive local video clips we’ve seen in a while.

Created and filmed by Dear Plastic with help from Chiral Media, the video was initially intended to document a typical day in the life of the band. However, things quickly turned sour when guitarist Danny Cox attempted to make tea for his bandmates, only to find he was out of milk.

We don’t want to give too much away, but it does feature a David Lynch-esque lactating nipple egg, handcrafted by the band’s synth player, we’re wondering what his housemates think of him.

“Our last film clip for ‘Everything’s Coming Up Roses’ was very conceptual and aesthetic-driven,” says Danny Cox, Deaf Plastic’s guitarist “so I thought it would be good to contrast that with something that’s a bit more simple and relatable.”
