An Eagles Australian Tour 2015 has been announced with the legendary band swooping Down Under for the first time since 2010.
Presented by Frontier Touring, the American music icons will be bringing their unmistakable song book to Australia in February and March, 2015, performing indoor arena dates in Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney, as well as two special outdoor concerts in Hunter Valley and Victoria’s scenic Hanging Rock.
Dubbed the ‘History of the Eagles’, the band – Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B Schmit – will perform three-hour shows at each date, with a career-spanning setlist that includes their biggest hits (‘Hotel California’, ‘Desperado’, ‘Take It Easy’) as well as rarities that have never been performed live before.
The Eagles Australian Tour 2015 continues the world tour the West Coast rock band kicked off last July in Louisville, Kentucky through ’til Christmas before re-opening the Los Angeles Forum in January (after the world’s largest vinyl record – a replica of Hotel California – was constructed on its roof).
Eagles will tour through Europe and America before heading down under to Australia, then hopping the pond to New Zealand for their first live performances in the country in 20 years.
Formed in Los Angeles in 1971, the Eagles’ seven albums from their 1972 self-titled debut through to the 2007’s Long Road Out Of Eden (after a 28-year-wait), have each sold millions of copies worldwide, and a combined 83 million albums in the USA alone according to the RIAA. Inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1998, the year after they honoured by the RIAA with the Best selling Album of the Century, compilation Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975).
