We’re just weeks away from Australia’s premier international music industry conference and showcase, BIGSOUND 2016, and organisers have now put the finishing touches on their absolutely stacked speaker lineup.

The addition of 101 industry leaders round out a massive lineup of talent, who will be sharing their wealth of knowledge and experience on the speakers’ stage as well as checking the 150 artists set to showcase during the event.

The latest additions to the speakers and buyers lineup include triple j’s Zan Rowe, BMI’s Brandon Haas, Third Side Music’s creative licencing manager Caitlin Veitch, and Beggars Group’s head of live Ruth Barlow.

There will also be appearances from Warner Chappell Music’s director of A&R David Goldsen, memBrain’s Jennifer Sullivan, and Believe Digital’s international officer Stephen King, as well as another appearance from Justin Heazlewood (The Bedroom Philosopher).

The panel program will be exploring a diverse array of topics, including gender equality in music, the role of record stores in 2015, the changes in artist development, the new role of record labels, safety in Australian venues, and more.

“BIGSOUND 2015 is shaping up to be incredibly diverse,” said QMusic Executive Officer Joel Edmondson. “The calibre of global industry leaders who can help the careers of the artists showcasing has never been more exciting.”
