Having unveiled lead single ‘Anesthetized Lesson’ to critical acclaim and a cool 44,000 SoundCloud plays, GUM, the solo project of Tame Impala and Pond multi-instrumentalist Jay Watson has officially announced his second LP, Glamorous Damage.

Produced and mixed by Watson himself and primarily recorded at his Perth home, Glamorous Damage channels pop and disco influences into a quintessentially contemporary cocktail, served in a glass stained by the fingerprints of Prince and Brian Eno.

Glamorous Damage, which is set to drop Friday, 13th November via Spinning Top Records, comes as GUM prepare to support LA’s own Mini Manions in Melbourne this November. Pre-orders are available from this Friday, 30th October via iTunes.

The album follows GUM’s bold debut LP, Delorean Highway, which amassed close to 450k SoundCloud plays and included a spaced-out cover of Genesis’ ‘Misunderstanding.’ The debut even managed to nab Watson a coveted spot on the 2014 AMP longlist.
