Essex five-piece Nothing But Thieves have announced the cancellation of their eagerly anticipated 2016 Australian tour. The band was slated to perform three shows whilst in the country for Soundwave.

“Really gutted to let you know that Soundwave has been cancelled and as a result, our AUS headlining shows as well,” the band write. “We’ve been dying to get out there after all the support we’ve had from you guys and Triple J, and we were really looking forward to this tour.”

“We apologize for any inconveniences but we are working on coming out later in the year, and will keep you posted! In the meantime, refunds for our headlining shows can be arranged at point of purchase. Have a great holiday and Happy New Year.”

Nothing But Thieves, who’ve risen quickly to become one of the most talked-about groups in the alternative rock scene, were one of the few Sidewaves announced for the 2016 Soundwave tour.

The band released their self-titled debut album earlier this year, which managed to crack the Top 30 of the ARIA Albums Chart back in October off the back of singles like ‘Itch’ and ‘Tripswitch’.
