Thanks to Mark Ronson’s Instagram account, we’ve known for a few months now that Lady Gaga and Tame Impala’s unstoppable Kevin Parker were working together. Now, we’re soon going to have an idea of what their collaboration has produced.

Having spent the last couple of years forging an acting career, Lady Gaga announced via her website that she is set to release her first solo single since 2013’s Artpop, the Kevin Parker-produced ‘Perfect Illusion’.

While the exact release date of ‘Perfect Illusion’ is not yet known, Pitchfork has revealed that both Ronson and BloodPop (formerly known as Blood Diamonds) are also listed as a co-producers.

Whether this means that Lady Gaga is taking on a new psych-rock approach to her new music remains to be seen, but we can definitely say she has entrusted production to some of the safest hands in music today.

Parker has previously spoken about his desire to increase his production workload and to transition into more pop production and his collab with Gaga is not his first foray into the pop world in recent memory, having been covered by Rihanna on her latest album.
