The Artist Formerly Known as Chet Faker, Nick Murphy, has unveiled a brand new song entitled ‘Fear Less’ and has now been announced as the latest name added to the lineup for St Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2017.

As we reported last week, Murphy took to Facebook on Friday to announce that he will no longer be writing, producing, recording, or performing as Chet Faker any longer, and will instead operate under his real name.

Murphy has now christened this new image with a new track, which gives fans a preview of the producer and singer’s new sound and how they’re blending with the classic, ‘Chet Faker’ sound we all know from tracks like ‘Talk Is Cheap’.

Meanwhile, Murphy is said to be working on a “dynamic” new live show that will pull from his back catalog as well as new material and fans attending Laneway 2017 will get to see it in all its wonder.

Meanwhile, the full Laneway lineup will drop Wednesday, 14th September and Tone Deaf will have the whole thing right here for you when it arrives. You can check out Murphy’s new tune, ‘Fear Less’, via the link here.
