Earlier this month we reported that Tame Impala chief Kevin Parker was back in the studio with some old mates as Mink Mussel Creek, a project Parker has been involved in since before Tame Impala became the biggest thing around.

The project released a debut full-length, entitled Mink Mussel Manticore, back in 2014 and were pretty active on the live circuit at one point, having played 100 shows in 2007 alone, though they’ve been quiet in recent years.

Parker took to Instagram last week to share some snaps of himself in the studio with his Mink Mussel Creek bandmates, which includes Pond frontman Nick Allbrook, and now they’ve had a full-fledged live reunion.

Camp Doogs is an annual music and arts festival which takes place in Harvey, Western Australia. The two-day camping festival features a secret lineup, which this year included an appearance from Parker and his old project.

The band played through a set that features several cuts from their debut album, including ‘Meeting Waterboy’, ‘Cat Love Power’, ‘They Dated Steadily’, and ‘Doesn’t The Moon Look Good Tonight’.

You can check out footage of the whole set, filmed on Parker’s “crusty smartphone back-cam“, below.
