Punters heading to Groovin’ The Moo in Maitland today may want to change their plans for the day somewhat, with one of the festival’s main attractions, Tash Sultana, being forced to cancel her appearance due to illness.

As triple j reports, Sultana took to her Facebook page this morning to announce the news to fans.

“Unfortunately I have to pull out of GTM today as I still have laryngitis & singing could risk permanent damage,” the post begins. “Cancelling a show is something I’ve never done before in my career and I can’t explain how upsetting it is for me. Thanks to Groovin the Moo & everyone out there for sending kind messages over the past week.”

Groovin’ The Moo are yet to announce whether a replacement will be made for Sultana’s now-vacant festival slot, but regardless, we wish Tash the best and hope for a speedy recovery.
