Having just finished recording their a record, the band are Melbourne bound this coming weekend, ready to dazzle and charm with their dreamy psychedlic-pop with a healthy guts full of reverb. For a mere blue noted $10, you’ll also witness Melbourne locals The Vacant Smiles, Grand Prismatic and The Primary.

Lime Cordiale

Why? We’ve been blessed with another long weekend and to be honest, there just isn’t a better way to get things started than by checking out some homegrown local talent. Enter the five lads of Lime Cordiale, fronted by brothers Oli and Louis Leimbach. Fresh from their Bluesfest performance, the band are ready to belt out their infectious indie-pop jams at the Beach Road Hotel. High-Tails with their surfy hit ‘Bending Over Backwards’ and the shimmering East of Ely are set to warm the stage.Oh and guess what, this show is for FREE!

King Tears Mortuary

Why? If you haven’t gotten around one of the Northcote Social Club’s ‘Monday Night Mass’ events, you’re missing out. First up, these parties are FREE and the next instalment is a cracker. Headliners Melbourne’s King Tears Mortuary will cram your head full of buzz and fuzz with their insanely hooky garage meets low-fi trips. Steaming this train of rock includes Ausmuteants, a ramming punk outfit who received accolades for their debut record for the critical ears of Pitchfork as well as Newcastle lads Bare Grillz and noise-rocker Popolice. Ted Danson With Wolves & Ceres

Why? For those on the West Coast that dig the heavier side of Aussie rock, this is the gig for you. Sydney’s Ted Danson With Wolves invites you to kick down the doors of the long weekend as they celebrate the release of their debut record WWTDWWD?. The quartet emit a breath of fresh post-hardcore rock that they phrase as ‘feel good hipcore’, it’s kind of like a welcomed slap to the face. If that ain’t enough, Melbourne outfit Ceres are co-headlining, the band bursting to spill their 90s emo meets punk sound for the lucky folk of Perth. Further special guests include Grim Fandango, The Leap Year and Celebrator. Get your rocks off for $10.

The futuristic r’n’b sounds of Oscar Key Sung are not human, and this coming Saturday, the electronica artist will transport Brisbane to his world. The gig will only set you back $12.30, which is madness considering how sought after this young professional has become. Oscar Key Sung will be joined by a wealth of talent including: Teen Girls, Tucker, Brat Camp, A Purple Heart and 95 Royale. We couldn’t recommend this one more, it won’t be long ’til Oscar Key Sung is headlining the giant platforms.

Why? It’s Saturday night and you just want to check out some good quality, homegrown talent, right? Well squeeze yourself into Goodgod and dig the sounds of Sydney-quartet, Creo. The band are performing an intimate one-off set to exclusively showoff new material for their upcoming release due later this year. Desert rockers Cuevro will kickstart the evening with their Queens Of The Stone Age sound, so come down and have a groove to some serious progressive and gritty rock.
