The Sunday Times in London has published their annual rich list and the usual suspects have cropped up in the list of British people in the music biz with lots of dosh. The new richest person in music in the UK is Edgar J. Bronfman, chairman and chief executive of Warner Music Group, with a personal fortune of $US2.5 billion. Lest you still think there’s money in the music biz, however, rest assured it’s a bit of an anomaly as most of his wealth comes from his family owning part of the Seagram music and drinks business fortune.

Number two was South African born Clive Calder who owns the Zomba record label, while composer Andrew Lloyd-Webber fell to third place, being down to his last £700 million. Paul McCartney’s fortunes rose as he’s now worth £475 million, while U2 are collectively worth £429 million.
