Did you go to music festival Groovin’ The Moo in Bendigo on the weekend? Apparently they’ve been copping a lot of flak for fans having to queue for up to three hours to get in, with many punters missing the earlier acts. Organisers were forced to send out a groveling mea culpa email, saying that they’d “spent the last 2 days reviewing the situation and essentially our plans for the entrance were based on previous years’ arrival patterns. These patterns of arrival have been consistent across all our festivals for the past 5 years. As such we did not anticipate such a large number of people arriving at midday. We were caught short, to say the least.”

Considering they had more punters than ever buy tickets for the sold out event you reckon that some bright spark would have reconsidered assuming all those new festival goers would also rock up ‘on previous years’ arrival patterns.’ Live and learn, eh?
