Local BAND Tijuana Cartel have an undeniable knack for blending layers of rich, intricate atmospheric soundscapes and freaked out psych rhythms, so it’s no surprise that their new single ‘Lost My Head’ is a bonafide gem.
‘Lost My Head’ is the first single to be released off the band’s upcoming album titled Psychedelicatessen and it sees band working with their favourite producer Chris Moore, one of the engineers behind TV on the Radio and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Tijuana Cartel’s penchant is for Middle Eastern scales, beats that get a floor moving and a general Psychedelic approach in song structure and ethos. Not married to one genre or another, they happily change direction in search of new flavours and inspiration whenever the moment takes them there.
