A whole bunch of great music is hitting shelves and streaming services this month. Here are five new releases we’re getting excited about.

Healer – Grouplove

Man, we could’ve used a new Grouplove album over Summer. If lead single, “Deleter”, is anything to go by, Healer looks set to feature more of Grouplove’s infectiously upbeat brand of rock. The album is out March 13th.

Traditional Techniques – Stephen Malkmus

Best known as the frontman of pioneering alternative rock act, Pavement, Traditional Techniques is Malkmus’ second solo album. It follows on from 2019’s Groove Denied, released almost a year to the day before March 6’s Traditional Techniques.

Aporia – Sufjan Stevens

Aporia, a collaborative album with his stepfather Lowell Brams, looks set to be Stevens’ most significant body of new music since his work on the film Call Me By Your Name. News of the album was only announced last month, but we’ve still had plenty of time to get excited for its March 27 release.

Truth or Consequence – Yumi Zouma

Kiwi four-piece, Yumi Zouma, gave us a taste of their upcoming album with retro-inspired single, “Southwark”. It’s been enough to pique the interest of fans and new listeners alike. Truth or Consequence is out March 13th.

ALICIA – Alicia Keys

By this point, Alicia Keys really needs no introduction. Her eponymous seventh record will surely bolster what has already been a legendary career. As far as new releases go, this one is a big-ticket item.
