It’s the feel good story we all SERIOUSLY needed!
Country music star James Blundell has finally proposed to the life of his life, 38 years after she inspired his 1992 hit, ‘Down On The Farm.’
Today, Blundell announced via social media that he is now engaged to his lifelong love, Rebecca Williams.
Blundell says he’s loved Williams since he was 16.
“In these uncertain times.. some things are certain. The first night @becwilliams888 and I reunited after 37yrs apart, I told her I loved her,” he said.
“She said, ‘how could you possibly say that ?’ to which I replied… ‘it’s easy for me, I’ve known since I was 16, you’ve just got to catch up'”.
“I love you Bec, simply & profoundly, I’m so fortunate to have you in my life xxx,” he continued.
“Btw… she said YES.”
‘Down On The Farm’ features on Blundell’s most celebrated album, The Road.

COVID-19 scenarios permitting, Blundell is one of the headliners for Country On Keppel this July.
Congrats Rebecca and James!
