Former Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters frontman, Dave Grohl, is set to make a cameo appearance in the new Muppets film, alongside Jack Black, Ricky Gervais, and Lady Gaga. The film is written by and stars Jason Segel from How I Met Your Mother. Reports say that in his role Grohl will act as a stand in for Muppets drummer Animal, who is forced to attend anger management classes as part of the movie’s plot.
We can see the connection between Animal and Grohl, both being drummers and a little rough around the edges. But we’re having a harder time picking who Gaga could team up with for the movie. Maybe The Grouch’s long lost cousin, The Tramp? This isn’t the first time Grohl has worked with Jack Black either, in 2006 he appeared as Satan in Tenacious D’s film The Pick Of Destiny, a role he had previously played in the band’s music video for ‘Tribute’.
