Bachelor Girl are bringing their redux album to regional communities nationwide in early 2027.
The ‘Waiting for the Day Redux Tour’ follows a sold-out capital city run in 2026 and takes the duo to regional communities, kicking off in Moruya, NSW, on Friday, February 26th and finishes at Northcote Social in Melbourne on Saturday, May 29th. Check out full dates below.
The tour comes in support of Waiting for the Day: Artist Sessions, which debuted No. 2 on the ARIA Albums chart earlier this year. The album reimagines the duo’s 1999 debut with guests including Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Darren Hayes, Tommy Emmanuel, Ella Hooper, Kaylee Bell and Courtney Act.
For lead singer Tania Doko, the tour is about taking these songs beyond the familiar. “Many of the towns on this run are places we’ve never played headline shows before,” she said. “Bringing our redux Artist Sessions project to uncharted territory is the ultimate sonic expedition – to every corner of Oz.
“The creation of the album, and the response to it, has been nothing short of extraordinary – definitely one for the pool room! But James and I aren’t ready to file this under ‘great memories’ or let it gather dust. There’s still so much life in these songs…”
Guitarist James Roche added: “Records are great, but live gigs and real life audiences are another level.”
The original Waiting for the Day, released in 1999, went double platinum and won the duo an ARIA Award for Producer of the Year and a PPCA Award for Most Broadcasted Australian Artist. The single “Buses and Trains” is ranked among Australia’s 100 greatest songs.
