While Courtney Love is pondering snorting her late husband Kurt Coban’s ashes, an unreleased song which features the two of them singing a duet has been included in a new documentary. Entitled Hit So Hard, the film is a documentary about the life of former Hole drummer Patty Schemel and features candid interviews with Love and her band mates Melissa Auf de Maur and Eric Erlandson.
They discuss Schemel’s drug addiction and the shocking deaths of Hole bassist Kristen Pfaff and Cobain’s suicide. Schemel was kicked out of the band during the recording of Hole’s 1998 album Celebrity Skin, and is clearly still pissed off about it. Having a chat about the last months of her husband’s life, Love says “Kurt used to hang around us, ‘cos he hated his band.”
The home footage of Kurt and Courtney jamming on the unreleased song ‘Stinking of You’ was captured by Schemel and is having its premiere in this film.
