Music by The Prince of Darkness has helped lure an 8-year old boy out of the wilderness in America after he became lost running away from school. ‘No More Tears’, one of the boys favourite songs, was blasted through loud speakers pointed into the woods in the hope that it may lure him out.
The boy, Joshua Robb, was last seen in his school’s playground in Twin Peaks around 11am on Monday where police believe he slipped though a gate and ran away.
The gimmick worked with rescuers finding Joshua hiding behind a bush, over 24 hours after he had been reported missing. He was found 1.5 miles from his school. When he saw the searchers, Joshua reportedly walked towards them saying, “Thank you, you saved me”
The boy was airlifted to hospital with his father saying “He looks tired. He’s a little scratched up but he looks strong and healthy as ever,” The boy’s parents were not able to take him home. Instead, they say, he was placed in the care of a social worker.
His parents are currently facing child abuse charges for allegedly keeping him tied up with a rope at their home.
