Bam Margera is coming to Australia this year for a special string of speaking appearances.
The headline tour, ‘An Evening with Bam Margera,’ will kick off this November in Brisbane, followed by stops in Sydney and Melbourne.
Margera will be joined on stage by longtime friend and collaborator Joe Frantz, the filmmaker and producer behind Viva La Bam, CKY, Jackass and other skate and punk projects.
The pair will cover the people, places and bands that shaped Margera’s career, starting with the early CKY days and the skate scene, then moving through Jackass and Viva La Bam and Margera’s move into the mainstream.
“I’m fuckin’ stoked to be coming to Australia this November,” Margera said. “I’m gonna be telling some stories and talking about some of the craziest shit from that whole time in my life. And having Joe Frantz with me makes it even better because we’ve got a bunch of footage and stuff you guys have never seen.
“Skate demos, Viva La Bam stunts, touring with the bands, all the stupid shit we got ourselves into, and a bunch of stuff we filmed that never even made it onto TV. Can’t wait to see you guys down there. It’s gonna be fuckin’ wild.”
Frantz will focus on stories and moments audiences did not see at the time, along with never- before-seen footage from his personal archive. Margera will share stories about the bands he admired and played with, life on the road, the skate and punk scene, and what happened behind the cameras on the era’s major shows and films. He will also discuss drugs, addiction and their consequences, and his recovery. Frantz will ask the questions, share memories and fill in gaps in the stories.
