Age hasn’t made Björk any less quirky, with her latest public outing a karaoke performance of Joy Division’s classic ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ at a ‘karaoke rally’ to encourage people to sign a petition against Magma Energy’s proposal to take over of Iceland’s geothermal and thermal energy production.
In a press release, Björk said of the 3-day event “Elves, hidden people, sports people, hobby musicians and professionals … everyone who cares for Iceland, come and join forces and perform a powerful ode to the nature of Iceland… Let’s bring our natural resources back to us with song.” Check out the footage of it.
