The ‘Screaming Eagle of Soul’, Charles Bradley, has announced he will be bringing his tremendous funk, soul, and R&B stage show, as well as one of the most remarkable stories of triumph over adversity in contemporary music, to Australia for two very special West Coast Blues & Roots Festival sideshows.

Joining Bradley for the ride will be his all-star band, comprising members of Daptone Records’ legendary house band, The Dap Kings, as well as The Menahan St Band, Budos Band, and others, who’ll be helping Bradley run through beloved cuts like ‘The World (Is Going Up in Flames)’, ‘How Long’, and ‘Why Is It so Hard?’.

Bradley burst onto the scene in 2011 with his widely-praised debut album, No Time For Dreaming, aged 62. The singer, who’d been making his way as a James Brown tribute singer, rose against all odds to become one of the premier acts on the roster of the acclaimed Brooklyn record label Daptone Records.

One of the most talked-about voices in modern music, Bradley return to Australia to celebrate the release of his well-received sophomore effort, Victim of Love, a more romantic turn than his previous release, Victim of Love is packed with joy and a broader musical scope.
