DaBaby has reportedly been arrested in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon for possession of a loaded firearm.
As TMZ report, the 29-year-old rapper was approached by authorities after leaving the Moncler store on Rodeo Drive. The report alleges that a store employee notified police that DaBaby and the people he was travelling with were carrying weapons.
Following a vehicle search, police found a handgun and DaBaby was subsequently arrested for possession of a loaded firearm, a misdemeanour. The publication alleges that initially every member of DaBaby’s crew was detained, though DaBaby was the only one to get booked.
On January 4th, 2020 DaBaby was arrested on a battery charge in Miami following an altercation with a music promoter over payment for a performance.
The arrest stemmed from an incident that took place at Novotel Miami Brickell, where the rapper was staying, an arrest report outlined. DaBaby reportedly approached a music promoter who made an agreement with the musician to perform at Cafe Iguana in Pembroke Pines.
The promoter reportedly promised to pay DaBaby $30,000 but upon counting the payment, DaBaby claimed he was $10,000 short. An altercation broke out and DaBaby punched a man who was with the music promoter. He was subsequently arrested back at his hotel room.
This arrest came weeks after DaBaby arrested for marijuana possession in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, after police found under half an ounce of weed in a van that reportedly brought him to a concert venue.

The arrest sparked accusations of racial profiling and launched an internal affairs investigation into whether or not the officers involved followed proper procedure. DaBaby was ultimately issued a citation.
