David Bowie’s legacy is being honoured once again, this time as part of New York City Subway tribute. As reported by Brooklyn Vegan, Bowie branded MetroCards are now available at Broadway-Lafayette, just a few blocks away from SoHo where Bowie spent a good portion of his life.

The station has also been transformed into a fully-fledged memorial tribute to the late icon, with the ‘David Bowie Is’ exhibition currently taking place at the Brooklyn Museum. The metro cards cost $6.50 and have a two-ride minimum. In the past, the station has played home to Prince tribute

Just last month, a David Bowie monument was lifted in the British town  Aylesbury, which was unfortunately vandalised 48 hours after it was unveiled.

The statue, which depicts David Bowie looking upon himself at different stages of his career, was the result of a Kickstarter campaign by Bowie fan and music promoter David Stopps.
