Riiight! These guys sure know how to have a name that stands out from the pack, even if it isn’t particularly clever – or is it? Anyhow we thought we’d give these guys a listen based on the name and we were pleasantly surprised to find a track that clocks in at less than one minute and thirty seconds which could effectively be an outtake from The Stooges 1970 magnum opus Funhouse.

Reckless Vagina – Dollarhyde by ZAIRERECORDS

Machine gun guitars, an insistent tambourine slung over the high hats and vocals that snarl and cuss give it a real sense of evil. It’s malevolent garage rock at its best. Now if only they’d reconsider their name for one that’s just a bit more clever, they may well even pick up some Triple J play.
