Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz and actress Tiffany Haddish have released their latest song ‘You Do You’ from the upcoming album Look For The Good
Out today, ‘You Do You’ marks the third release from the upcoming album that highlights Grammy Award-winning artist Jason Mraz, while featuring esteemed actress Tiffany Haddish. It’s set to arrive on June 19th.
This single release comes with a new music video which features an animated dance party between Mraz, Haddish, and a few of their friends, as the original idea was canceled due to quarantine regulations during COVID-19.
“The original video shoot for ‘You Do You’ was canceled due to quarantine,” Mraz stated. “But we enlisted our band and crew to capture their own dance moves.”
By having an amazing video production team on hand, Mraz and Haddish were able to take “the music to the streets virtually, drawing inspiration from classics like ‘Reading Rainbow’ and ‘Electric Company,'” making it the “perfect visual for an upbeat tune about individuality.”
Haddish states that this new song is the “epitome” of what she believes, expressing that “Llife would be so much easier if we all portrayed ourselves as who we really are.”
“I feel like there would be less violence, less confusion, and less depression from suppressing who you really are,” she continued.

“I know that played a role when I was depressed. And as I talk to my friends through this horrible pandemic, I see a lot of people are learning to love themselves and to be closer to themselves, which will allow them to BE themselves. I think that will make for a much better society when we’re all out and about.”
This new track follows two previously released tunes from the upcoming album, where ‘Wise Woman’ stands as Mraz’s ode to Mother Earth, and women alike, as well as title track ‘Look For The Good’, which has seen an outstanding eight million streams to date.
The new album Look For The Good is available for preorder now, and will officially make its release on June 19th, where it will not only feature both Mraz in the forefront while highlighting the talents of Haddish, but will also see reggae icon Sister Carol make a guest appearance.
