Ludacris has revealed that he’s keen to get Eminem on board for a collaboration in the future.
Following his participation in a Verzuz Instagram Live battle against Nelly on Saturday – which was riddled with technical issues on the ‘Dilemma’ rapper’s behalf – Ludacris (real name Christopher Bridges) hit up Twitter to answer questions from fans.
After he was asked which fellow artists are on his ultimate bucket list to work with, the rapper said:
“I did collaborate with Notorious B.I.G., but it was a posthumous album so I wasn’t able to actually collaborate with him while we was alive,” he says of his 2005 feature on the Duets: The Final Chapter album. “2Pac, I’d love to collaborate with, but if we saying alive? I haven’t done a track with Eminem yet and that’s on my list. The world needs a Ludacris and Eminem record for sure.”

It would make a welcome pairing for anyone who vibed on music from the 2000s, where the duo were constantly in the charts with hits like ‘Get Back’ and ‘Stand up’ by Ludacris and ‘Without Me’, ‘Stan’ and ‘Cleanin’ Out My Closet’ by Eminem.

It’s not the first time Ludacris has voiced his appreciation for Eminem. In 2017, he analysed Em’s verse on ‘Till I Collapse’ in a video for GQ, naming it as one of his favourite rap verses ever.
“One of my favourite verses from Eminem is on the song ‘‘Till I Collapse’ featuring Nate Dogg,” Luda said. “I just feel like he spazzed the hell out of this record.”
He continued, “He says a lot of different things on that verse that are just all over the place. The ending line is basically like it doesn’t matter how many records you sell, if you don’t have respect in this game, it means absolutely nothing.”
“I mean, everything about that verse is incredible to me,” he continued. “From a critic’s standpoint, from someone who wants to sing a long’s standpoint, the cadences, the rhythm, the flow, everything. One of the best verses ever.”
