Have you already entered to win the handmade coffee tables from Metallica’s own rockin’ frontman James Hetfield? Well, then maybe you’ll want to pick up a copy of his coffee table book, too, to complete the ensemble.

At the beginning of the month, James Hetfield showed off a little project he’s been working on in isolation: building coffee tables.

Bringing life to his “I am the table” lyrics shouted in his collaborative song ‘The View’ with Lou Reed, Hetfield is currently raffling off the twin coffee tables for charity, so you can finally get your partner to agree to let you decorate the lounge with Metallica memorabilia, since they probably aren’t keen on you tacking up your Metallica light switch.

The lucky winner of the coffee tables will now have the perfect coffee table book to place on top of their Hetfield-made centrepiece – Hetfield’s own coffee table book titled Reclaimed Rust: The Four-Wheeled Creations Of James Hetfield.

It’s been no surprise that Hetfield’s passion besides music (and now creating coffee tables) lies with customising and restoring cars “into magnificent pieces of automotive art,” and this new book will dive deep into his hobby, showing off the beauties he’s created thus far.

So, how do you get your mitts on not only the coffee table, but the coffee table book, too? Well, the raffle for the coffee tables ends on Tuesday, June 30th, and tickets are still available via this website.

The book will be available in stores starting July 28th, with pre-order beginning now via Metallica’s storeReclaimed Rust: The Four-Wheeled Creations Of James Hetfield will run you roughly $50USD, however it’s a 192-page hardback book, so it’s bound to be worth it, especially if you’re the winner of the handmade coffee tables.
