Now that he doesn’t have a band after falling out with the rest of New Order, Peter Hook is hitting the speaker’s circuit in the UK this April. Having lost a hell of a lot of money on the Haçienda, it seems he’s topping up his retirement fund with donations from the legion of Joy Division obsessives out there.
Hooky is doing a run of dates around the UK where he will showcase previously unseen footage of Joy Division and New Order, as well as tell yarns about both bands, Factory Records and take questions from the audience. Billed as ‘A Night of Unknown Pleasures’, it’s hard to imagine Ian Curtis were he alive bringing himself to do this.
