Missed out on Splendour In The Grass tickets? Thought all the cool bands were bypassing Adelaide this year?

Well think again because this year Adelaide is getting its very own slice of Splendour In The Grass action in the form of a brand new music festival, aptly titled SPIN OFF.

Already bursting with a bill including international acts LANA DEL REY (in her debut Australian show!), UK rockers BAND OF SKULLS and Brooklyn-based buzz band FRIENDS. As well as some of the hottest acts in Australia right now,  including world beating sensation KIMBRA, Bloc Party’s new favourite band LAST DINOSAURS, young punks and all around trouble makers BLEEDING KNEES CLUB, internationally hyped trash-pop duo DZ DEATHRAYS, eternal party starters YACHT CLUB DJ’S and next big things THE RUBENS.

Now Spin Off have announced another round of acts to join the festival bill.

Leading the charge is Adelaide native and Arnold Schwarzenegger enthusiast LUKE MILLION, followed closely by Triple J’s resident House Party-starter NINA LAS VEGAS. Fresh from releasing their stellar debut album Keep Your Dreams last year, CANYONS will strip back to DJ mode and spin up a storm at the Jubilee Pavilion, as will Melbournian mash-up whizz kids NICE AND EGO.

We can also add to the mix HARRIS ROBOTIS, ALLEY OOP, RAD BAD, TRANSMISSION DJS and MESSRS for a fine selection of hot, hip-shakin’ dance times.

Organisers are even offering one lucky Adelaide band the privilege of opening the historic event, with nominations for the final spot on the Spin Off lineup now rounded down to SPARKSPITTER, AUXILLA, BAD//DREEMS and CONSOLE WARRIORS.

But there can only be one winner, and they will be decided when all four bands play for Spin Off glory at the Ed Castle on Thursday 5 July. Entry is free, so get a sneak peek at
what you’re in for at Spin Off.

Launched as a joint venture between Splendour co-promoter Paul Piticco and Adelaide company 5/4 Entertainment, SPIN OFF will take place on Saturday July 21st in the Jubilee Pavilion at Wayville Showgrounds.

Tickets are still available from Moshtix, but they’re going fast!
