The Solange Australian Tour 2014 has been announced and with the inimitable songwriter and performer hitting Australia this New Year’s for the Falls Festival, Solange has now announced two special headline sideshows.
A singer, songwriter, dancer, model, actor and fashion arbiter, Solange Knowles is an artist with many strings to her bow. With two solo albums and a bunch of other songwriting credits behind her Solange released True in late 2012.
Produced by long time collaborator Devonté “Dev” Hynes (Blood Orange, Lightspeed Champion) the 80s pop / alt R&B inspired 7 track EP produced the killer single ‘Losing You’ and its lush and bold accompanying video, shot in Capetown. True also received enthusiastic reviews from music press around the world, as buzz continued building for Solange.
The undeniable queen of cool’s live show is a must-see attraction as well, rich in soulful harmonies layered over up-tempo beats and Solange’s electric stage presence.
With a new album on the horizon audiences can expect to hear some fresh tracks when Solange hits stages across Australia in January, playing dates in Melbourne and Sydney.
