This month, music icon and one of modern rock and roll’s most widely hailed songwriters, Noel Gallagher, made his return to Australia for Bluesfest and a series of headline dates around the country.
As the principal songwriter, lead guitarist, and co-vocalist for the multi-platinum, award-winning Oasis, Gallagher is considered one of the primary voices of the Britpop generation, as well as one of its most outspoken figureheads.
After the end of the band that made him an icon, Gallagher formed High Flying Birds, unveiling a 2011 self-titled album, which the band recently followed up with their current LP, the critically acclaimed Chasing Yesterday.
Gallagher and his band are hitting up venues in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth this March and April, playing songs from their two LPs as well as a selection of Oasis classics.
