The Pleasure Garden is the latest music festival experience set to hit Melbourne, and the “immersive, creative music and arts experience” just had its first showing at St. Kilda’s Catani Gardens.
Thankfully, the punters who showed out to catch a big lineup including The Cat Empire, Blue King Brown, The Opiuo Band, Tash Sultana and more were treated to a beautiful day of sunshine, and an array of roving theatrical performances and art installations. The sound quality, too, shone through just as brightly, and had been a strong point of focus for the festival organisers who employed a state of the art system to keep everyone sounding top notch.
Our roving reporter Julia Lay was there to capture the day, and by all accounts it was a very successful first showing from the new event – we’re already looking forward to next year.
