Post Malone has used his current trek to Australia to show his fondness for the rock genre, hitting up a Perth show by The Story So Far and Basement last week.

If you’ve been keeping up to date with the happenings of chart-topping music icon Post Malone, then you’d likely be aware that the 23-year-old Texan has recently touched down in Australia.

In the country for his first tour in just over a year, the hip-hop artist kicked things off in Perth last week, before heading over to Adelaide on Sunday night.

However, while he was opening his tour, the massive double-header of California’s The Story So Far and England’s Basement was just wrapping up. As fate would have it, these two worlds soon collided.

A number of fans at Thursday’s show took to Twitter to not only point out that Post Malone was side of stage, but that he was also having the time of his life judging by his facial expressions.

The Story So Far bassist Kelen Capener also took to social media to share an image of the bands with the rapper, posing in front of posters by the likes of Children Collide and Harlequin League – something none of us ever thought would happen.

Of course, plenty of fans are now asking when and if Post Malone might team up with the bands for a cover.

While we might be waiting a while for that, Wundenberg’s Recording Studio in Adelaide recently noted that the rapper requested the chance to record there while in town, so we do know that he’s working on something while in our neck of the woods.

Post Malone’s Aussie tour is set to continue in Melbourne on Tuesday night, before travelling to Brisbane and Sydney. No word yet as to whether he’ll be catching any other bands while in town, but ol’ Posty sure is an unpredictable sort.
