One of this country’s best kept secrets Mexico City are just about to unleash their most impressive single yet. Titled ‘When The Day Goes Dark’ the track comes six years after the release of the 2009’s acclaimed Brown Bird.
The title track of the upcoming LP When The Day Goes Dark sees Mexico City collect songs recorded over a time of progress for the band – with maestros Jeff Lovejoy (Tex Perkins, The Cruel Sea) and Jamie Trevaskis (Robert Forster, Texas Tea) on production duties, the record promises to run a road between bittersweet melancholy, emphatic vitriol, and deserved self-satisfaction, tracking the band’s personal journeys over the time.
