Having unveiled their debut album, Blank Check last year, Melbourne favourites The Solicitors have returned with their new single, ‘Dirty Laundry’, which they wrote about the everyday grind and keeping ‘the man’ off your back.

The single adds some new features to the band’s signature guitar-based pop hooks, delving into a grimier, more DIY approach than their previous singles. The single illustrates everything that makes a Solicitors live gig such a treat.

The self-produced singles bears a lot of rough edges, leaning slightly away from the pop rock sensibilities of their 2014 material, taking their characteristic pop sound and throwing it through a filter of edgier new wave and rock.

Splitting from their previous label and relaxing their suit and tie dress code, The Solicitors have taken full control of their direction, heralded by the release of ‘Dirty Laundry’, which they’ve done entirely themselves.
