Here’s a new clip from Perth outfit The Money War, a project formulated by Dylan Ollivierre (Rainy Day Women) and Carmen Pepper (The Warning Birds) on a 2015 road trip across the U.S., as they wrote and recorded rough demos on the go.
There’s nothing at all rough about ‘Recall’ though, outside of the rising tide of fuzz that threatens to consume the formerly contemplative number towards its finale, the duo’s perfectly-paired vocals joining forces for a hazy crescendo of “la la la”s as the clip’s stop-motion odyssey draws to a close.
Good stuff all round, and another taste of what to expect from The Money War when they release their debut EP in 2017. They just played a showcase at this year’s WAMFest, and you’ll be able to catch them next as they support E^ST on November 27 at The Aviary.
