In March next year, Australian music talent will be taking over the ski slopes of Hakuba Valley, Japan with Snow Machine, the brand spanking new festival announcing their inaugural line up.

The destination festival is taking place 3.5 hours outside of Tokyo and will be providing good times for all those within audible range for four days. Across those four days, ticket holders will be basking in the sonic delights dished out by some of Australia’s most exciting party starters including Peking Duk, What So Not, Hermitude and Illy.

Of course, local Japanese talent will also be on display throughout the fest with Kenji Takimi, DJ Kentaro and Shinichi Osawa also confirmed as part of the festivals first ever outing.

Speaking on todays announcement, organisers behind Snow Machine said, “There is no place in the world quite like Japan.”

“From the rich cultural heritage seen everywhere from their amazing hospitality to the architecture and cuisine – Japan is at the top of everyone’s travel list whether it’s first time, or returning.

“The much fabled powder Japan receives each season is world leading. Hakuba Valley is the largest alpine mountain-range in Japan and we are thrilled to be announcing this destination holiday event for those who enjoy ramen and onsens with their après.”

Stages, venues and curiosities will be peppered throughout the utopian scenery that Hakuba Valley is famous for – the exact same utopian scenery that was the backdrop to the 1998 Winter Olympics. As such, those who make the pilgrimage will be able to loose themselves in the Snow Machine experience.

As well as granting access to the live music, ticketing options to Snow Machine will also cover accomodation, passes and hire. Basically, you’ll be able to enjoy Snow Machine however you damn well choose. You can marvel at the entire line up below.
