Singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens has been one of the most consistently acclaimed artists of the modern era, ever since he first came on the scene with his 2000 album, A Sun Came.

Since then, the multi-instrumentalist has unleashed album after album of deftly written, ambitious songs that have seen him garner countless accolades. A decade on from his flashpoint release, Illinois, Steven returned with Carrie & Lowell.

Arguably his most accomplished effort to date, Stevens gave the unique song set its Australian debut at the Sydney Opera House earlier this year when he performed as part of the stacked program for Vivid LIVE.

Stevens has now announced his triumphant return to Australian shores for a national headline tour, which is set to kick off in February at Sydney’s State Theatre, before moving through Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane.
