We were first introduced to Tèbir in 2018, and he has built quite the loyal following in his short few years in music.

The Melbourne rapper, while still being relatively new in the music scene, has spent some time honing his craft, delving deep into long-held influences in Anthony Hamilton, even modern R&B leaders John Legend and T-Pain.

His interest in music comes from a strong, rich and unique music culture and Sudanese heritage coming from his parents.

It’s not often you come across a self taught multi-instrumentalist. However, Tèbir has spent a significant amount of time, since he was only 11-years-old – honing his craft, taking on the huge job of teaching himself instruments including bass, piano, and acoustic guitar.

Tèbir’s music marries his trademark sultry voice with carefully crafted powerful lyrics which result in incredible tracks. The result included critical acclaim from triple j Unearthed.

One triple j presenter Hau Latukefu said: “Ooh… what a vibe. Bro has an awesome tone and knows how to slink around a rhythm”

Now, we’re exclusively premiering the video for Tèbir’s new single ‘Hold Me Down’, ahead of its upcoming release this Friday. ‘Hold Me Down’ is the follow-up to his well-received recent single ‘fragrance’.

‘Hold Me Down’ comes from Tèbir’s soon to be released new EP, which is set to be released a little bit later this year.
