We here at Tone Deaf consider ourselves to be pretty big music buffs, and would have a fair crack at just about any music-centric pub quiz you could throw at us. Not to mention, we also love a good fundraiser.

So naturally, when we read that the one and only Tex Perkins was jumping on board for a music quiz/fundraiser for the St Kilda Football Netball Club with a team of AFL greats and a few local music legends, we were keen. Tex is of course the number one ticket holder for the St Kilda Football Club, and his passion obviously extends to netball as well.

He’s roped in some big names for this one, too, with Western Bulldog captain Bob Murphy and retired champs Matthew Richardson (Richmond) and Michael Gale (Lions/Richmond) pitting their wits against Rhys Muldoon (Actor/Director – House Husbands) and an iconic team of Tim Rogers and Tex himself.

Hosted by MC Brian Nankervis, the evening will also feature music performances by Cookin On 3 Burners, with special guests Stella Angelico and Billy Miller, and it all goes down this Sunday November 27 at Memo Music Hall in St Kilda.

If you’re up for supporting a good sporting cause while also seeing some of your favourite musicians and footy heroes potentially make fools of themselves, you can purchase tickets here.
