ANGIE
Where? The Foundry, 228 Wickham Street, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane
When? 8pm, Thursday 11th Feb
Why? Sydney based guitar queen Angie will be swinging by Brisbane to play as part of the killer Yowie gig series at The Foundry. Having performed as part of Circle Pit, Southern Comfort, Ruined Fortune and Straight Arrows, her song crafting chops are second to none. Supporting her will be guests KITCHEN’S FLOOR and Pleasure Symbols. Entry is only $5 before 9pm so get on it.

Money For Rope
Where? Cherry Bar, 103 Flinders Ln, Melbourne
When? 8pm, Friday 12th Feb
Why? Local rock heroes and legendary live acts Money For Rope will be popping by their second home Cherry Bar to play a very special, very intimate show. With old mate Ali E and Mother Guru supporting the guys will be playing a swag of new songs, and will be sinking plenty of tins – so pop in.

Broadway Sounds + Rolling Blackouts C.F
Where? Hugs & Kisses, 22 Sutherland Street, Melbourne

Why? Valentine’s Dy need not suck any more, ’cause old friends Rolling Blackouts C.F and Broadway Sounds are teaming up to host a Valentine’s Dance for the local lovesick youth. Featuring a lineup big enough to make any won swoon, including: Harpoons (DJ), ScotDrakula, Rainbow Connection (DJ) as well as your kind hosts, missing this will end in heartbreak we promise.

Jess Riberio
Where? Newtown Social Club, 387 King Street, Newtown, Sydney

Why? After a startling 2015 which saw Jess Ribeiro release her second album, Kill It Yourself to massive critical acclaim garnering a bag of nominations and awards as well as performances at a range of festivals including CMJ, Meredith Music Festival and AWME, she’s popping back to Sydney for a show ahead of another lot of festival performances before heading back to the U.S. If you haven’t caught Jess in action it’s about time!

Pikelet + Erasers
Where? The Bird181 William Street, Northbridge, Perth
When? 8pm, Saturday 13th Feb
Why? This upcoming show will be Melbroune based experimental songwriter Pikelet’s first vist to Perth since 2011. To celebrate she’ll be sharing the evening with local talents Erasers, Leafy Suburbs and Akioka for what’s set to be an evening of some of the best and strangest music to come out the country in yonks.

Vowel Movement
Where? The Gasometer Hotel, 484 Smith St, Collingwood, Melbourne
When? 7:30pm, Thursday 11th Feb
Why? Melbourne based pop crew (with probably one of the best names in the country) Vowel Movement have decided to call it a day, but no before performing one last wild show this Thursday at The Gaso. Wishing them farewell will be a collective of killer acts including Redspencer, Monnone Alone, T.V., Karli White and ScotDrakula. This is their last show ever so no excuses!

Sampa the Great + Broadway Sounds
Where? Howler, 7-11 Dawson St, Brunswick, Melbourne

Why? Award for venue with the best gig of the week goes to Howler who this Friday night will be throwing a free party (thanks to the team at Vice) featuring breakthrough artists of 2015 Sampa the Great, party starters Broadway Sounds and trio we’ve been keeping a close eye on Golden Girls.
