‘Leave a Light On’ hitmaker Tom Walker has announced his first ever tour of Australia for August 2019, celebrating the release of his debut album What A Time To Be Alive, out today.
The UK native will make his way to Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane this August, bringing eager crowds a taste of his folk and soul-inflected pop sound. The tour kicks off in Auckland on the 20th of August, with the run of all-ages shows wrapping up at Brisbane’s iconic Tivoli theatre on August 24th.
After spending years honing his craft as a powerhouse vocalist and emotionally charged songwriter, Walker finally hit the heights of mainstream success in 2018 with the 2017 released track, ‘Leave a Light On’.
The track has since reached Platinum status in the UK and is double Platinum in Australia, amassing almost 180 million streams worldwide.
Walker just won the 2019 British Breakthrough BRIT Award – an honour previously taken out by acts like Dua Lipa, Catfish And The Bottlemen and Sam Smith, so expect to see a whole lot more of the hitmaker this year.
