Drugs are bad kids, mmmkay? That’s the only reason we can think of for Pete Doherty being fined for taking heroin IN to court. In his latest moment of creative genius, Pete was arrested back in December in the corridor of Gloucester Crown Court where he had just been fined for driving under the influence.
A court security guard had seen one of the 13 wraps fall out of his pocket. His feeble excuse this time? His lawyer told the judge: “He has a great many items of clothing, suits and clothes going into the hundreds. There were residual drugs that he had left in one coat pocket. He didn’t necessarily choose the coat for himself.” A rightfully unimpressed judge Joti Boparai fined naughty Pete £750 plus costs, telling him “Either this was sheer stupidity or a ploy to get more publicity”.
