Here in Australia, we’re good in that we do our best to support our homegrown musicians, and many bands and artists acknowledge the rabid nature of Australian music fans.

However, there are cases where bands that got their start in Australia actually end up becoming bigger overseas, which isn’t to say they’re necessarily chopped liver back home.

There’s bands who have considerable fan bases here in Australia, but who are bonafide superstars in the US, the UK, Asia, or Europe. Here’s a few we’ve decided to take a look at.
