Dun, dah dun dun dun, dun da dun da dun dah dun dah! You call yourself a rock n’ roll fan? If you say haven’t played air guitar to Acca Dacca’s ‘Back In Black’ while ten bourbons to the wind then you’re LYING or no real music fan because we know you HAVE!

Arguably AC/DC’s finest moment, Back In Black was released 30 years ago this Sunday and still sets the bar as one of the finest rock n’ roll albums ever released. Still reeling from the death of front man and rock n’ roll icon Bon Scott, AC/DC recruited new singer Brian Johnson and went on to make what would become the biggest selling album by a band of all time, within the region of a mind blowing 50 million copies sold.

To mark the occasion, Melbourne’s (and possibly the world’s) greatest rock n’ roll venue, the infamous Cherry Bar on none other than AC/DC Lane is hosting a massive celebration to mark the occasion. Legendary AC/DC Tribute Band Back In Black are playing two sets from 9pm and Cherry Rock DJs will be playing the very best of AC/DC from 5pm till dawn.

“They’ve got to catch me if they want me to hang
Cos I’m back on the track
And I’m beatin’ the flak
Nobody’s gonna get me on another rap
Don’t look at me now
I’m just makin’ my play
Don’t try to push your luck
Just get out of my way
Well I’m back….Yes, I’m back in black!”
