Have you ever wanted to open for not one but two of Australia’s most notable female-lead rock outfits? Well, thanks to this opportunity, your dreams could come true.

Emerging bands and solo artists from across our fair nation have been invited to apply for a support position on the epic She Who Rocks National Tour that will see both Baby Animals and The Superjesus blow audiences away in May/June of this year.

The campaign is being held through the GiggedIn platform, and will see a different artist support the two groups on each leg of the tour, pretty rad, right?

Of course, there is a selection criteria that applicants must meet:

  • your band must contain at least one female member
  • your band must deliver themselves to the venue within an allotted timeframe
  • your band must provide your own backline and equipment for your sole use
  • your band must be able to perform a minimum set of 30mins of original material
  • your band must agree to perform for a set fee of $250

If you meet each of these five points, simply jump over to GiggedIn and submit your application. Once you have submitted an app, a selection panel comprising of She Who Rocks tour promoters, Social Family Records, Baby Animals and The Superjesus will decide on a shortlist of artists.

From there the select few bands will need to promote their cause to the public, who will vote and ultimately decide who will open for the two bands.

Voting closes on the 1st May 2015, 5:00pm and the winning acts will be announced on the 8th May.

The tour is set to kick off in Baby Animals frontwoman Suze DeMarchi’s hometown of Perth on Friday, 22nd May, before powering on to Melbourne, Wollongong, Sydney, and Brisbane, followed by Superjesus frontlady Sarah McLeod’s hometown of Adelaide, with Sandy Bay, Tasmania the last pit stop on what’s been dubbed the She Who Rocks Tour.

This is an incredible opportunity and a fantastic support for Aussie female rockers, click here to register make your dreams a reality.
