Adelaide based artist World Wild is about to release his incredibly exciting debut EP Caribbean Gold. Jarrad Lee Jackson aka the maverick behind World Wild, is the master of gritty synth driven surf pop, and Caribbean Gold is seven tracks of 80s influenced funk jams and good vibes, the perfect soundtrack to lazy summers that melt into wild nights.

Drawing influence from an eclectic range of musical juggernauts including The Beastie Boys, Grandmaster Flash, Van Halen, Blood Orange, The Beach Boys, M83, Tears for Fears, Duran Duran, Devo and MGMT, World Wild is a little bit like the love child of cheesy 80s disco and flawlessly technical 00s electronica.

Set to attract a cult following of fans, World Wild is also heading his own fashion label inspired by skate wear and street culture. Imagine Venice Beach in the 80s or the film Lords of Dogtown and get excited. But ahead of this you can stream the upcoming EP in it entirety below (out via MGM April 10th). For more info on this fascinating figure visit www.worldwild.com.au
